In 2007, I made a simple photo essay of Madras. I’ve wanted to do another one since then but never had enough time. This year, I decided to go for something easy but real, taking photos of everyday Chennai life. I didn’t worry about making everything look perfect.

I used my iPhone and a small Ricoh GRiii camera, which is good for taking street photos, to take black and white pictures as I walked around Chennai. These are the photos I got, right from the camera.
